doodle is a brand of CurlyCo (Pty) Ltd, based in Cape Town, South Africa. This notice explains what happens to the details you give us when you join the doodle list. We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- Your first name, if you choose to give it
- Your email address
- That you agreed to hear from us, and when
Why we collect it
To email you news from doodle: when the doodle pendant is ready, and about other products we make for doodles and their people. We won't use your details for anything else, and we never sell or rent them.
Where it is kept
The sign-up form is run by Netlify, our website host, which stores submissions on servers outside South Africa. If we later send our emails through an email service, your details will be kept there too. We only use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. After that we delete your details, apart from a record that you asked not to be contacted.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Stop emailing you
Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also write to us at thalischa@curlyco.co.za.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
